Limited Warranty
TAG Wheels makes every effort to assure that its product meets high quality and durability standards.
TAG Wheels provides a limited warranty for the products we manufacture and extends limited warranties for components we use from our suppliers.
The limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship as follows:
Composite Wheel
- Two (2) year from date of purchase covered by TAG Wheels as described below.
Hub Components
- Two (2) years from date of purchase as defined and covered by DT Swiss. See DT Swiss warranty details at DT Swiss.
Conditions
This warranty is for the original purchaser, is not transferable and requires proof of purchase.
This warranty does not cover product used in competition or competition training.
This warranty does not cover the normal wear and wearing of parts and does not apply to damage due directly or indirectly to misuse, abuse, negligence, improper assembly or assembly with incompatible products, accidents, crashes, repairs, alterations or modifications outside our facilities, a lack of maintenance, and or delivery and transport damage.
DT Swiss 2 year limited warranty applies to hubs. See DT Swiss for warranty details.
The Hub Shell is permanently bonded to the wheel. Any attempt to remove the Hub Shell or actual removal of the Hub Shell will void the warranties.
All warranty claims must be made directly to TAG Wheels or the Dealer you purchased the wheels from. TAG Wheels will then establish if the claim is covered under our warranty. Should warranty work be required:
- TAG Wheels will authorize the Dealer to complete the work. The dealer is not authorized to extend warranty.
- TAG Wheels will issue a return authorization number (RA#) as a requirement for the wheel to be shipped to TAG Wheels.
- The return authorization number (RA#) must be clearly marked on the return package. Please ensure you include all necessary contact information and proof of initial purchase date, barcode serial number, and an explanation of the complaint must accompany the product.
- TAG Wheels reserves sole right to make warranty determinations and is Not Responsible for inbound or outbound shipping charges, possible repackaging charges, customs and duty charges, or damage during shipping.
- If our inspection discloses a defect, TAG Wheels will either repair or replace the product. If it is determined there is no defect, or that the damage resulted from causes within the scope of this warranty, the customer/user will bear the full expense of repair or replacement, handling, repackaging and shipping.
- This warranty does not cover products whose serial numbers or identification numbers have been erased, damaged or modified.
- Under any circumstance, if we replace the product (be it warranty or crash / wheel replacement) the damaged product will not be returned.
- If you request or we establish additional service or repair is required to the wheel. We will provide a quotation for this service.
Non-Warranty Conditions
Wheels that show permanent deflection damage or fracture do not fall under the covered warranty for defects and are considered to have been misused or abused. The following damage will void manufacturing warranty.
1) Permanent rim deformation or rim fracture caused by over pressured tires.
2) Storage in excess heat resulting in wheel deformation and out of true specification.
3) Unauthorized attempt to remove the Hub Shell
